Safeguarding Policy
Protection of Children and Vulnerable People Policy
This policy is in place to protect Children and Vulnerable People who attend Llangristiolus Hall. This is regardless of their gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, religion or faith.
The welfare of the Child or the Vulnerable Individual is paramount and everyone's responsibility. Children and Vulnerable People have the right to safety from abuse, be it physical, emotional, sexual, bullying, neglect or exclusion.
All persons associated with Llangristiolus Hall have a duty to protect Children and Vulnerable People.
Children and Vulnerable People should not be photographed without their permission first, as well as the permission of parents/carers.
Individuals who are trustees of the Hall or contractors, hirers or volunteers will not have unsupervised access to Children and Vulnerable People.
Hirers who hire the Hall for use with Children and Vulnerable People will need to ensure that they comply with legislation regarding Safeguarding and with the necessary documentation (eg a valid DBS).
The trustees of the Hall will ensure that those who hire and use the Hall are aware of their responsibility towards Children and Vulnerable People.
The conditions of this policy must be accepted before the Hall can be hired.
A copy of this policy will be available to hirers and can be seen in the Hall.
